prout02: You mind sharing if you are in the Bay Area, CA or elsewhere? It seems to me there are 2 variables to this FP scheduling:
a) When USCIS receipts and begins processing (For Xfr applicants, this would apparently be the date when the new center receives the case).
b) Center where FP is to be scheduled. A more crowded place might mean longer waits.
Just a thought....
My attorney opened two SRs and nothing happened for two months. When I had given up all hope...there comes the FP notice for 1/3/08. I don't know what did the trick. But I am off of that daily USPS mail checking business for now.
Also, the case status remains the same with two updates to the LUD!

I am waiting for transcripts from india. Once i get them i will post them along with original certificates and fedex return envelope. Will keep posting updates regards to this.

Since you are going for stamping in India, just be sure to take your degree certificates as well as transcripts.

Hope some aide of a congressman or senator or somebody working in USCIS reads this and realizes how inhumanely we are being treated. The above is no joke, all of us on EAD are going to be Pre-Pre-Pre-Pre--Pre-Pre-Pre-Pre-Pre-Pre-Pre-Adjudicated out of USA with RFE's and denials.
I was thinking on how USCIS may be working.. heres my thought.
Boss come out of the cabin and a clerk approaches and says, Saar ji need vacation kids are getting bored in their summer vacation, boss being in a good mood announces okie everyone go on vacation for 2 months, also ask the internet guy to make the dates "UNAVAILABLE"
Then some seniors are planned to visit the USCIS office, since the dates are not current all the clerks are chit chatting, playing games on computer, texting..etc etc.. boss comes out of his office and says, what all you guys are doing ?? Get back to work.
Again a clerk comes to the officer and says :D saar dates are not current what do we do, nothing is there to do. Boss turns really angry and says go and preadjuducate the preadjudicated cases and send RFEs. Show that you are working, make some calls threaten people of fraud, send finger printing notices.
To check if this huge force is working or not he logs on to immigrationvoice.org and and start browsing the threads and then he find people posting question about the RFE on medical TST etc etc.. He is happy and satisfied that his clerks are working and may get an appraisal from his who is likely to visit the office anytime.

You can use your AP with no issues. That's the exact intent of that document.

I am in the final stage of my green card process and we have both EAD and Advance parole. Since we have valid EADs and Advance Parole documents, we didn�t bother to pursue a H4 dependent visa for her. We are planning to go to Thailand next week for a 10 day vacation. I just want to confirm that she will be able to come back into the US with her Advance Parole document which is valid until June 2011.
I would really appreciate your quick response since we are looking to purchase tickets in the next couple hours.

Americans still expect six figues salaries after high school educaiton....
My boss has been trying to hire a couple of EEs since the past couple of months but is not successful.....Ultimately he had to request me to find Indians graduating in the coming fall semester from the local university....
Also the poll shoule be structured as "Do you think American school system is not producing enough skilled workers with knowledge in STEM fields?"
'High tech jobs' and 'qualified workers' are all distractive terms for the larger malice in place: Americans taking for granted that jobs will be lined for them when they step out of college.
As a matter of fact Mr. Lou Dobbs is doing a big disservice to the American people by lying and not encounraging them to face the harsh truth that there is a lot of competition out there and please be prepared to face it.

Sigma 70-300 4/5.6 APO Macro Super for Nikon ---> not sure???
SB26 -> unsure so far (anyone know)
Its still early as we have a few months before release.. Be nice if I could use my current lenses. (and see about this lens that comes with camera for $300 more (if you opt for it)...

Yes and no. Yes will probably get the PERM for BA +5 certified. But no, you will not be approved for an EB2 I-140 petition. You will still only be able to get an EB3 I-140 approved.

Hi All, I know that visa numbers are allocated per country basis (7% or so) but I would like to know how are the visa numbers allocated to EB1 / EB2 & EB3 Categories within a country.
For Ex: If Country A has 1000 Visa Numbers for a fiscal year how does USCIS divide them between EB1 / EB2 / EB3

I think, if you are US Masters/above plus if you are a member of profession, then you are the luckiest person on earth...
1) Need not File LC
2)U R not counted against the Quota
A hypothetical case where it may not work
But if your are a US-MS Electrical Eng and working as Tech Lead in IT, you do not qualify for this, as Tech Lead for IT may require US MS Comp Science not US-MS Elect Eng....since you do not qualify as memeber of profession.
In which case you need to file LC, which anyway will be a problem becasue of the misamatch of the profession and your qualification.
So for those kind of mismatches it will be really difficult to justify releif under this clause.
