What will be the status of pending H1B extension case if EAD/AP is used on reentry to US. If the case is approved after rentry, is it possible to change status to H1?

I am going to complete 6 years on H1-B by 2009 March. When we applied for the H1-B Transfter to my current company last year for some reason I got the extension upto Jan 2010 which is more 6 yrs.
I was on L1 until 2004 Jan for 9 months in the begining and my previous company converted L1 to H1 in Jan 2004.
My question is do I need apply H1-B extension on approved I-140 to get 3 more years extension as 2010 Jan will be my 7th year on H1-B ? OR I can wait upto current transfered H1 - B approval validity?
Please advise.

I recently received my FP appointment date, but I have to be on a conference the previous day. If everything goes well, I can arrive to my appointment without any problem.
But if my flight is delayed or cancelled I might risk being late to the appointment. My appointment is 10:00 am in the morning, are they very strict about the timing for FP appointment, or can we go a little late if we were delayed? Can you please share your experience?
Also, How early should we call in to postpone the appointment?

I had a robbery case in the U.S. in 1995 and was sentenced to 9 years with 85%. Later, I was picked up by immigration and deported for the case in question. While I was in immigration jail I fought my case and won it but immigration appealed it on the first court. I decided to return voluntarily to my country instead of fighting my case over. Now I want to return home in the U.S.. I want to know how do I go about reopening my case.

I need expert advice -
My I-140 has been approved and I-485 pending for more than 18 months. I have a valid EAD & AP. I also have a valid H1-B visa valid till 2011,
that I am using for my current employment with my current employer
1. If I get laid-off, how long can I stay in US without another job?
2. I understand that in order to maintain my eligibility to "port" to a new employer / sponsor under AC21, I should have another job in same or similar occupation. Till I find another job, am I allowed to do some part-time job in different occupation?
3. If new employer gives me the option to move permanently to its subsidiary in another country, what are the available option for me to continue with green card processing?
4. If after going out of the country , I want to come back in future before Green card approval, what will be the available options?

thats means its not approved. u cant file for i140 without labor approval..hence cannot file 485 also.

I have taken a 2 day stop over in Dubai while coming back to USA in April 2010. I booked my flight on Emirates. Emirates will sponsor my visa. But i am not sure now they allow Advance Parole as when i apply for visa one of the requirements says "Travel documents, such as re-entry permits and refugee documents are not permitted"
